Every child should have their own present to open on Christmas Day.
This is why AlphaBiolabs has decided to support Cash for Kids with their Mission Christmas fundraising campaign.
One in three children in the UK are living in poverty and facing a bleak Christmas as their families will struggle to find any money to spare for presents. As part of Mission Christmas, Cash for Kids is collecting new and unwrapped gifts which can be given to disadvantaged children to help brighten up their day and spread some festive cheer.
At AlphaBiolabs, we believe every child deserves to experience the excitement of unwrapping a Christmas gift which is just for them. To raise money for this worthwhile campaign, we are holding an internal raffle among our team with staff buying tickets in the hope of winning the top prize – two days of extra holiday for 2016.
All the money which is collected from raffle ticket sales will then be matched by the company to double the amount which will go on buying toys for those who need them.
Then on Monday, (December 14) our managing director David Thomas will be taking time out of his busy schedule to help out at one of the warehouses in Manchester where the toys are being stored and sorted ready for Christmas Day.
David said: “At AlphaBiolabs, we like to give something back to the community. I’m really looking forward to rolling my sleeves up and helping get lots of presents ready for children who otherwise might not get one this Christmas.”
On Tuesday, AlphaBiolabs has pledged to donate all the profits from any legal DNA and drug tests which are instructed on that day to the Mission Christmas campaign.
Cash for Kids works with children aged from birth to 18 in 21 different areas of the UK. It helps those who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect to fulfil their potential and look forward to a brighter future.
