AlphaBiolabs has received its Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation in a special ceremony.
The Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, David Briggs presented the award to staff on behalf of the Queen at our headquarters in Warrington on Monday. During the presentation ceremony, the company received a commemorative crystal bowl and scroll which had been personally signed by the Queen.
The Queen’s Awards are designed to recognise outstanding achievements by businesses in Britain. The prestigious honour was given to AlphaBiolabs for its DNA testing, the fastest in the world.
Honour recognises team’s hard work
AlphaBiolabs was selected to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation on the Queen’s 90th birthday in April.
Managing director David Thomas said: “Receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a real honour and we are delighted that the efforts of our team to lead the way in DNA testing in the UK have been recognised. Our staff have all worked extremely hard to develop quick, efficient and accurate testing techniques and this award is a great way of rewarding their commitment and dedication.
“We are always looking at ways to push the boundaries when it comes to DNA, drug and alcohol testing so we can offer our customers the very best service possible.”
AlphaBiolabs works with companies and organisations all over the UK, including the Jeremy Kyle television show, family law firms, courts, local authorities, the Child Support Agency and HM Passport Office.
