Rapid DNA testing for immigration purposes can now be accessed in Glasgow* as AlphaBiolabs opens its first testing clinic north of the border.
“With next day results as standard, our immigration DNA testing service has an unprecedented turnaround time and is the fastest in the UK”, said AlphaBiolabs Managing Director David Thomas.
The rapid DNA results can be used for immigration cases, applications and appeals, and are accepted by UK Border Agency (UKBA), UK Visas and Immigration, the Ministry of Justice, UK Passport Office, the Home Office and UK courts.
DNA testing is a powerful tool for identifying family relationships. When this is used to determine the relationship of the family members of a UK citizen, it becomes invaluable in supporting immigration cases. AlphaBiolabs offers a range of DNA tests at the Walk in Centre, including Paternity, Maternity, Sibling, Aunt/Uncle, Grandparent, Y chromosome and Twin testing services. All tests only involve swabbing cheek cells and no blood is needed. A non-invasive Prenatal test can also be arranged to determine the paternity of a baby before birth without any risk to the baby.
If applying for British citizenship, a DNA test to prove that there is a family relationship between two parties must follow strict conditions to be admissible in a UK court or immigration hearing. This chain of custody is crucial to provide court-approved results that can be used for legal reasons. All of our sample collectors are fully trained and maintain chain of custody throughout the process. They follow strict guidelines and their procedures include checking identification and providing proof that the sample collection took place (such as photos of sample donors) to ensure that the intended individual provided the sample.
In addition, we have a UK-wide network of trained collectors available to take DNA samples and we are also able to collect DNA samples from immigration centres or consulates, if required.
“We’ve worked with Embassies worldwide and some of the largest specialist immigration solicitors for over 10 years”, said David Thomas. “We also have many special offers for immigration cases, which can save you money – as well as time.”
This newest Walk in Centre may be the first in Scotland but is tenth in AlphaBiolabs’ nationwide network across the UK. For information on Immigration DNA testing in Glasgow, please contact AlphaBiolabs on 0333 600 1300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
