Our home paternity test can be bought online and posted direct to any convenient address. The testing kits can also be bought at High Street stores near you. You can get your results the next day from as little as £99. Same day results are also available for an extra £70.

The test kits include:

  • A paternity test request/consent form to complete
  • Full instructions on how to collect the samples. This is a very simple process and just involves rubbing the swabs provided on the inside of your cheek
  • A self-addressed envelope to send your DNA test samples back to us
  • Three DNA sample collection swab packages containing two mouth swabs in each package
  • DNA test sample envelopes for each individual undertaking the testing

All DNA relationship testing is performed at our in-house laboratory in Warrington. Our paternity tests look at up to 35 DNA markers and examine the child’s DNA and identify which half is inherited from the mother and which half is from the father. Ideally, we would prefer the mother’s sample as well as the father’s, but we can still perform the paternity test without the mother’s sample.

When testing the biological father of the child both will share identical sections of DNA at each marker. When the tested man is not the biological father there will be differences in the DNA of the man and the child.

We offer three types of paternity testing

As well as the standard home paternity tests, we also offer prenatal paternity tests and toothbrush testing.

Prenatal paternity tests can be used to non-invasively determine paternity of a baby before birth. This innovative test can be performed as early as 6 weeks after conception. The test is completely safe to the mother and unborn child. The mother needs to supply a blood sample and the alleged father uses a mouth swab to collect his DNA. At a price of £875, results take up to 7 days but can be fast-tracked with our express 4-day service for an extra £200.

Following extensive trials, toothbrushes have been proven to be a good source of DNA and can be useful for paternity testing. An advantage is that samples can be collected in an unobtrusive manner. Using a mouth swab on older children could lead to awkward questions, whereas simply sending in their used toothbrush for testing could avoid any embarrassment.
