AlphaBiolabs is pleased to have been selected as a chosen testing provider to Surrey Council for their DNA, drug and alcohol testing requests.
AlphaBiolabs is well established in the provision of testing services for local councils, having operated in the sector for over 15 years. We provide the entire service in-house: sampling, collection, analysis and expert witness reporting.
We have continuously improved our service provision in line with customers’ unique and changing requirements, and with the additional capability provided by developing analytical technology. We currently deliver thousands of DNA, drug and alcohol tests each year and are only one of a few providers with ISO 17025 (UKAS) accreditation in all three areas of analysis. We are also accredited by the Ministry of Justice to provide DNA relationship testing for UK courts.
Surrey’s Children Services has also undergone significant changes in order to meet the needs of children and families in Surrey. The newly created Children’s Commissioning Team has been established to radically transform Surrey’s approach to commissioning services, ensuring all of Surrey’s children and young people remain at the heart of every decision.

All sample collectors are trained in chain of custody to ensure that the process is carried out quickly, efficiently and with no risk of contamination. For legal cases, you need to be certain that the results of a DNA, drug or alcohol test are completely accurate and that the sample has not been tampered with.
AlphaBiolabs offers a range of drug testing options to suit different needs, including hair strand testing, nail clipping analysis and instant urine screens. Alcohol tests include blood, nail clippings, and head and body hair analyses.
