Last week, AlphaBiolabs was crowned Manchester Evening News Business of the Year 2019 (Turnover £1–5 million). This prestigious award brings to an end one of AlphaBiolabs most successful years to date.
The award was presented at a glitzy Awards Ceremony on Thursday 14th November at the Principal Hotel in Manchester. After watching short videos of all of the three finalists, including North West firms Boda Skins and AccessPay, the winner was announced by the sponsor Salford Business School.
Accepting the award, Commercial Director Rachel Davenport said: “It’s absolutely amazing to win this award because we had stiff competition”.
“We are thrilled that our hard work this year has paid off and that we are being recognised with this respected award. I want to thank everyone at AlphaBiolabs for their contribution to making this one of the best years yet.”
Earlier this year, AlphaBiolabs won the Liverpool Echo Knowledge Business of the Year award. The Awards Ceremony took place at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral on the 20th June. Once again, the company faced strong competition from shortlisted companies Perfectus Biomed Ltd and the National Oceanography Centre.
AlphaBiolabs’ Managing Director, David Thomas, said: “I would like to personally thank everyone in the company for all their hard work and valued contribution which has made winning this award possible and AlphaBiolabs receiving this recognition.”
