COVID fit to fly certificate

If you need to travel outside the UK, you may be asked to produce a COVID fit to fly certificate before you are allowed to board an aeroplane or enter the country you are visiting. But don’t worry, as getting hold of the paperwork you need to travel is easier than you might think.

Our fit to fly test is ideal for people who are travelling to another country in the next 72 hours. The sample collection kit is quick and easy to use with clear instructions on how to effectively collect cells from your throat and nose for testing.

Use the pre-paid envelope to send your sample back to our UK-accredited laboratory and post it in your nearest priority postbox. Once your sample arrives at AlphaBiolabs, it will be passed to our specialist COVID-19 team to be analysed for evidence of the virus.

Our NHS-standard testing process uses advanced scientific techniques and is 100% accurate. Your results will be emailed to you the following working day – or the same day if you have paid an additional fee for our express service – along with a COVID fit to fly certificate if you are found to be free of the virus.

You will only be issued with a COVID fit to fly certificate if you have confirmed that you have not experienced any of the symptoms associated with coronavirus in the 14 days prior to taking the test. You can take one of our private tests if you have COVID-19 symptoms but you cannot use the results to get a fit to fly certificate.

If you are an employer and members of your staff are expected to travel abroad for business purposes, you can order one of our workplace tests, which includes a COVID fit to fly certificate.

Like the home COVID-19 PCR tests, these can be ordered directly from the AlphaBiolabs website and will be sent straight to an address of your choice. These workplace tests can be taken by your employees themselves or overseen by either your company nurse or doctor or someone on your occupational health team.
