What is NIPP testing?

NIPP testing uses a state-of-the-art process to determine whether a man is the biological father of an unborn baby.

Unlike traditional paternity testing, which requires cheek swab samples to be collected from the child and alleged father(s) after birth, a NIPP test can provide answers during pregnancy – as early as 7 weeks gestation.

How the test works

Blood and cheek swab samples are collected from the mother, along with cheek swab samples from the alleged father(s)
Expert geneticists extract the baby’s DNA profile from foetal DNA found in the mother’s bloodstream and compare this with the DNA profile of the alleged father(s)
The biological father will share DNA with the baby at every tested marker

This non-invasive process poses no risk to mum or baby – unlike alternative methods of prenatal testing like amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling (CVS) – making NIPP testing a safe, reliable option if you want to confirm paternity before your baby is born.
