Proud to support our communities: AlphaBiolabs awarded Liverpool City Region testing contract

We’re proud to share some exciting news that brings us full circle – back to where our journey began.

AlphaBiolabs, founded in Liverpool in 2004, has been awarded the contract to provide drug and alcohol testing services for six local authorities across the Liverpool City Region (LCR), following a rigorous competitive tender process.

Under the four-year contract – beginning 1 August – we’ll deliver all legally-defensible drug and alcohol testing in support of Family Court proceedings across Liverpool City Council (lead authority), Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral.

This includes sample collection and back-to-lab analysis from our purpose-built, UKAS 17025 and Lab 51-accredited toxicology laboratory in Warrington, Cheshire. Our location means we’re ideally placed to process samples quickly – a vital requirement in time-critical safeguarding cases.
