What does the safety critical medical include?
The safety critical medical takes around 1 hour and includes a general health questionnaire, Snellen (eye), audiometry (hearing test), lung function, urinalysis, blood pressure as well as height, weight and body mass index (BMI). Samples are taken for the drug and alcohol tests, and if required, can be sent back to our laboratory for confirmation testing. If lab confirmations are needed, we can provide next day results.
You don’t need to prepare, or bring anything with you to the medical assessment apart from any medication that you may be taking.
