There are several answers to the question: Where can I get a prenatal paternity test done? The prenatal paternity testing kit can be bought direct from our website for £875 for results in 7 working days. A faster express service is also available for an extra £200 with results in 4 days. Interest-free credit options are available.

Both the mother and alleged father are required to provide samples for this confidential test. The alleged father needs to collect cheek cells using the mouth swabs provided in the testing kit. The mother needs to provide a blood sample, which is usually taken from her arm.

  • The blood and mouth swab samples can be collected at our conveniently-located Walk in Centres across the UK. These can be found in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, north London, Preston, Warrington and south London.
  • We can arrange for one of our highly trained sample collectors to come to your house or anywhere else convenient to collect your samples.
  • Alternatively, you can arrange your own collections through your GP or another medical professional.

The samples from the mother and alleged father do not need to be collected at the same location. However, the samples should be collected around the same time to avoid any delays and the risk of the blood sample haemolysing.

When can the test be performed?

We can perform a non-invasive prenatal paternity test as early as 6 weeks after conception (or 8 weeks after the last period). Not only can this test be carried out at an early stage of the pregnancy, it is 100% safe to both mother and child.

The test works by analysing a baby’s DNA within the mother’s bloodstream. Because a baby inherits DNA from both of its parents, the prenatal paternity test identifies which half of the DNA is inherited from the mother and which half is from the father. If the man is indeed the biological father, both baby and father will share DNA.

Once your samples are received at our Warrington-based laboratory, the testing process can begin.
