Paternity testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
Our Peace of Mind DNA paternity test is designed to help determine the paternity of a child. We offer the UK’s fastest DNA paternity test with results either the same working day or the next day. It is beneficial to also provide a sample from the mother; however, if necessary we can perform the DNA testing without a sample from the mother.
Sibling DNA testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
Our sibling DNA testing is used to establish whether or not a brother and a sister have the same father – or the same father and mother – and has an accuracy rate of 100%. We ask for the inclusion of the mother’s DNA sample in this testing procedure as this usually increases the accuracy rate. We use statistical analysis to evaluate the amount of DNA shared between the individuals tested to deduce a biological relationship.
Auntship DNA testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
Aunt DNA testing (also known as an Avuncular test) is often needed when the alleged father or mother is deceased or unwilling to participate in the testing process and the alleged aunt of the child would like to establish their biological relationship to the child.
Uncle DNA testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
Uncle DNA testing (also known as an Avuncular test) is often needed when the alleged father or mother is deceased or unwilling to participate in the testing process and the alleged uncle of the child would like to establish their biological relationship to the child.
Grandparent DNA testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
Grandparent DNA tests can be used to establish a biological relationship between an individual and one or more of their alleged grandparents.
One of the main reasons that this test is performed is when a child’s alleged father is unavailable for paternity testing and the child’s grandparents want to know whether the child is truly related to them.
DNA maternity testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
A DNA maternity test is suitable if you want to demonstrate the existence of a biological relationship between an alleged mother and a child. The DNA maternity test is similar in principle to a DNA paternity test.
Y Chromosome DNA testing in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
A Y chromosome test is used in cases where alleged male relatives wish to confirm they share a common paternal line. All male children inherit their Y chromosome from their father; these children will in turn pass the Y chromosome inherited from their father to their male children when they become fathers. This inheritance pattern means that males coming from the same paternal line will always share the same Y chromosome. Furthermore, the low mutation rate of the Y chromosome makes this test all the more reliable.
DNA zygosity testing (twin DNA testing) in Manchester (Peace of Mind)
Zygosity testing is used to determine whether multiple children from the same birth (twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc.) are genetically identical or not. If siblings are identical, they are known as monozygotic. This means that they were formed from a single fertilised egg, which went on to split into separate embryos. It also means that their DNA is exactly the same.

The clinic is open on Tuesdays from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. For appointments outside these times, please contact our Customer Services team on 0333 600 1300.
Our Walk in Centre is the latest in a nationwide network, where DNA, drug and alcohol testing samples can be collected securely and for free without having to make an appointment first. This is particularly useful for legal tests, which require a strict chain of custody so the results can be used as evidence in court proceedings.
The Walk in Centre is located in St John Street in the centre of Manchester. It is 17 minutes’ walk from Manchester Piccadilly and 18 minutes from Manchester Victoria. St John Street is the only surviving Georgian terraced street in central Manchester and forms the heart of the conservation area (designated on 4th November 1970).
Manchester is a city and metropolitan borough in Greater Manchester based in the North West of England. With a population over 530,000, it is often referred to as the UK’s second city, after London. Its history began with the civilian settlement associated with the Roman fort of Mamucium, which was established in about AD 78. Natives of Manchester are known as Mancunians.
It wasn’t until the 19th century that Manchester began to expand rapidly. Its urbanisation was brought on by a boom in the textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. It achieved city status in 1853. In 1894, the 36-mile-long Manchester Ship Canal opened to link Manchester with the Irish sea. The IRA bombing in 1996 led to extensive investment and regeneration in the city.
In 2014, Manchester was ranked as the highest British city after London by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. Today, it is the third-most visited city in the UK after London and Edinburgh. Tourists are attracted by the city’s culture, night life and sport, including Premier League football clubs Manchester City and Manchester United.
