If a client stayed out of their home for a day or two, would these readings still be captured when they return home?

Yes, they would. With SCRAM the data is stored in the bracelet. When the wearer returns home and comes into close proximity with the base station, the data will be transferred to the reporting website, where our team can produce the reports. With SmartMobile, the data is transferred via a SIM card in the device directly to the reporting website.

Is the SCRAM bracelet comfortable to wear?

The SCRAM bracelet is designed to be as comfortable as possible for the wearer. Whilst the wearer will be aware that they have the bracelet on, they will be comfortable enough to go about their daily business.

Can the transdermal method of detection distinguish between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beers, lagers etc? If so, would non-alcoholic drinks not trigger any alerts?

The transdermal method of detection monitors for alcohol present in sweat produced through the skin. It will therefore not trigger any alerts for non-alcoholic drinks and it will also not distinguish between different alcoholic drinks.

Does the photo on the smart mobile capture them doing the breathalyser?

Yes, the photo is taken each time a reading is made. This ensures that the person giving the breath sample is the correct person.

In private law, we encourage parents to self-refer as they pay for the testing. Is it possible they can still have the discount?

The 10% discount promotion is only for cases where the instruction comes from a member of the legal profession or a social worker.

Is SmartMobile also approved for legal aid?

An application for legal aid can be made for SmartMobile, as it can for SCRAM. The reports for both solutions are also accepted in court.
