DNA aunt testing
DNA aunt testing (also known as an avuncular test) is often needed when the alleged father or mother is deceased or unwilling to participate in the testing process and the alleged aunt of the child would like to establish their biological relationship to the child.
Our Aunt DNA Test works by comparing an individual’s DNA profile with that of an alleged aunt. Because an individual inherits half of his or her DNA from each biological parent, such a comparison reveals whether the child has inherited DNA from the alleged aunt who is being tested.
Due to the nature of the DNA Aunt Test, we recommend that the alleged aunt who has a claimed biological link to the child should be tested along with the child and their mother (or father, if the aunt is related to the child through the mother) to provide you with the most accurate result. However, the test can still be performed without a biological parent’s DNA.
Please note that the alleged aunt must be a full sibling of the alleged mother or alleged father, and not a half-sibling.

We utilise the most up-to-date DNA testing technology to ensure the reliability and accuracy of our genetic testing. We also offer the fastest turnaround times for DNA testing in the UK.
Our Aunt DNA Test analyses up to 45 DNA markers (loci) – double the industry standard for DNA testing – for an accurate, reliable result.
The test kit includes mouth swabs to be rubbed gently and painlessly on the inside of the cheek, to collect cheek cell DNA, with no needles required.
Your test kit will also be sent direct to your preferred address in discreet, plain packaging, for full confidentiality.
Choose to receive fast, accurate and confidential Aunt DNA Test results either the same working day for £269, or the next day for just £199.

What is the difference between the standard and the enhanced test?
Our standard aunt test is already industry-leading, as it analyses 25 DNA markers (the industry standard only analyses 16-21 markers).
What makes AlphaBiolabs unique is that we can also analyse up to 45 DNA markers. This allows more genetic material to be analysed, which strengthens the result and provides additional reassurance.
This is ideal for customers who want the most powerful DNA test available.
It is also particularly useful in tests of a more complex nature, such as an aunt test, where the chance of obtaining a conclusive result will always be lower than the more straightforward paternity or maternity tests. This is because the DNA hasn’t been directly inherited. The enhanced test will increase the chance of obtaining a conclusive result.
Why is our aunt DNA testing different?
A guaranteed result or your money back.
At AlphaBiolabs we know that you want a DNA test to get an answer. However, we need to tell you that not all tests are conclusive and you may not get a definitive answer to your question.
It is the best kept secret within the industry that aunt testing can be up to 40% inconclusive (four people out of 10 will not get a result after paying for the test). Our award-winning DNA laboratory has managed to reduce this inconclusive rate to 28%, so only around one in four people will not get a decisive answer.
This is obviously an improvement but is still not acceptable to AlphaBiolabs. Consequently, we have introduced our guaranteed result or your money back promise.
Every customer who orders this test and does not receive a conclusive result will have the price of their test refunded. That’s a guarantee. Please note, all relationship DNA tests bought via third party retailers are not included in this guarantee.
Now you can find the answers you need with the UK’s most popular home DNA Aunt Test kit from AlphaBiolabs.

We had a legal auntship test in connection to a probate matter and I have to say that the service I received from AlphaBiolabs was very good. I cannot think of any improvement upon what I received. Thank you.

I needed this test for the probate courts and was worried about how long everything would take. I was relieved and pleasantly surprised when a sample collector came to my home the same day and I had my report for the next day. Amazing service I have to say.
